They are like a virus and we don't want to spread them.
If you feel the need to post them, keep it short and sweet and we will to a full out rebuttals, we all see and know the news is all negative and sensational, we will be flooded for the next six months.

If you want to do something, find every good positive article you can and post it in full.
We can find just as many positive stories.

Chippp - When I find an article that bashes the tanning industry in general I like to post it for everyone. I also attempt to locate the author so that if anyone would like to rebutt the original article they can do so. And, if I come across a good article that I can use to rebutt a bad article I keep a copy saved as a word document on my computer for later use. I will be more than happy to share those as I come across them.

But, I think it is wrong of you to ask not to post the bad articles. How can anyone rebutt these if they don't know about them? And, if they are posted for a larger audience, such as on this board, we are likely to get more rebuttals sent to the original author.

Chippp, I agree with Elsa and Laurie on this.

Each new article needs to be addressed by as many of us as possible. By posting, reading, discussing and sharing information we will better be able to fight these sun scare issues.

Not posting the negative is like burying your head in the sand and hope that they will go away if you ignore them. They won't!!

I personally like to see all the articles the good and the bad for the simple reason that if one of the people who come into my salon -- they may have read it and the more I read and am aware of what is out there... the easier it is for me to discuss.

I agree with Tan Girl on this

We need all of it, good or bad, in order to analyze the where, why, how, who, etc. How can you debate when you only have one side?
