Rep Power: 23 | Are you implementing any changes for your salon for the new year? We are starting a newsletter for our customers. In fact, I have the first one in my hand and I will be going to Kinko's to make copies this afternoon. We are also increasing prices. We have done a ton of renovations such as painting all of the rooms, redecorating all of the rooms and we are currently redoing the lobby area. What do you have planned, or what have you just completed? |

Rep Power: 0 | We have restructured our packages and prices. We plan on implementing a program that will hopefully keep our customers active on the eft program year round. We are also revamping our commission program. This new plan should encourage our staff to go after that sale. We have decided to not carry any private label lotions and to exclusively carry one line of lotions. Sometimes too many choices only confuse the customer and we want to see if simply is better and more efficient. We will be doing our training a little different this year. Besides standard salon training we will have two seminars for our staff. One will teach sales techniques for Swimwear and one will be for lotions. We feel this will be an exceptional experience for our clerks and give them the tools they need to be successful! |

Rep Power: 27 | Only 1 lotion line? I think that may be a mistake. I think 2 full lines and maybe some of the best sellers of a couple more is better for varity. We are doing a lot of diff. things this year and I only hope I am ready by Feb. |

Rep Power: 23 | Like most of you, we will be raising prices. We will also add more equipment, and streamline our lotion selection(it's out of control!!) In addition, after reading many of your posts, we will begin to charge for eyewear. Wishing everyone a prosperous 2002!! |

Rep Power: 23 | Even though I am a new salon I completely changed my pricing structure effective Jan. 2. Worked all day Jan. 1 (even though we were closed)getting this together, in the computer and handout made. The whole salon is on a points package. Different amounts of points expire at different times. Gives every customer the option of going on any level bed without buying additional packages. So far, so GREAT! Kathy BellaDonna Tan |

Rep Power: 0 | We made a few price changes before the new year. We purchased software, painted the entire salon with a fresh coat of paint, moved furniture and displays around, and adding some new lighting in the salon. In response to what can you put in the newsletter......... Every month we put out a newsletter in our salon and it highlites specials on tanning, lotions, etc. If it is a holiday we wish our clients a Happy _______Day! We use the space to tell the importance of lotions and moisturizers. We have an employee of the month every month. We also wish our tanners of the month a Happy B-Day! If there are any changes going on in your salon this is the perfect time to let tanners know. When we were remodeling I let my tanners know that I appreciated them understanding and that it was to better the salon to make their visits more enjoyable. |
