Rep Power: 23 tangirl will become famous soon enough
My partner just called me. While our part-time girl was working this afternoon, my partner left to run an errand. Two young girls came in. One claiming to have been a former employee of the former owner of the salon. The two girls both bought one month each. Our part-timer ran to the back to clean a bed, came back and set the timer for both of the new girls. When my partner returned she was talking to our part-timer and she explained the scenario. That's when they both noticed that a bottle of lotion was missing.

Do you confront the customer? Make a vague reference to a bottle of lotion being missing? How do you handle this? These girls are 16-17. Not that I would care about losing their business. I just don't know that I could trust them in the lobby alone again.

We has a spell of "missing" lotions until I started putting "dummy" bottles out. All real lotions are kept in my office. The dummy bottles were brought in by customers because I gave a 10% off incentive to purchase a new lotion when they ran out. The dummies are filled with water Take as many as you want ...

Great idea, need to find storage space now!

For the time being I placed an appropriate sized thick rubber band around the knobs of the display case doors (they are about an inch and a half apart). Next time they try the sneaky maybe the band will snap them back to reality or at least thwart the activity.
