Rep Power: 23 | The customers always seem to comment on how clean we keep the salon. And as I said in another post I have worked in the salon for almost 5 years now and bought it about a month ago, so I have developed special relationships with the majority of my customers. In the last 5 years I got married and had a baby in which they all somewhat participated in my pregnancy, coming in everyday to see how I was and bringing special little treats. As a matter of fact, there were at least 15 customers that were invited to my baby shower and about 20 showed up. I guess to get to the point other than cleanliness it has to be the special treatment they get when they walk in the door at our salon, kinda like "CHEERS" everybody knows everybody and it's a very fun, upbeat place to be. |

Rep Power: 24 | The salon I go to is unique in the manner that it seems very upscale, but at a reasonable cost. The owner goes to great measures to keep her lamps fresh, the beds are very clean and it always smells awesome!! Her staff is top notch, friendly and knowledgeable. She seems to hire competent, mature people who really care about the client's visit. It has almost a spa-like atmosphere and is decorated very much like a spa would be. She has big, colorful, soft murals and it seems not one detail has been overlooked. |

Rep Power: 23 | Bronze - what does it "smell" like? I think aromatherapy plays a big part and I want to add that at my place. Also, I'm looking for some cotton robes to hang in each room as a special "perk". I'm like Mitzi, I've had customers come out in various stages of undress to ask a question or to go to the bathroom. And what we would do in case of a fire or emergency... Does anyone else have robes in their rooms and if so where did you get them? |

Rep Power: 0 | I was an actual certified chef in my past life, so when I needed to price towels for the salon,(this life)I naturally went to the Restaurant/Hotel suppliers here. They had some great looking terry cloth robes in their catalogs. I wish now I had asked for prices. Check with your local rest/hotel supplier. FYI-(since this topic always comes up) their hand towels run $22.00/doz. Seemed high at first, but wow...what great quality compared to the ones I've priced at Sams, Walmart and Beals. At 26" they seem very generous, even for a guy. |

Rep Power: 23 | Everyone raves on how when they first come in I am very informative about the beds and how they work, lotions and what is different about each of them as far as why does this one have a bronzer...what is that? or what is a tingle lotion....what does that do? But the one thing taht really amazes them all is the fact that after this first visit when they come back in for the next one, I know exactly who they are. The feedback that I have gotten on this is that in the other salons in my area they (the customers) felt like they were pushed into buying lotions that they knew nothing about and that they felt as if the other salons only looked at them as dollar signs. Here with me, I spoil each and every one of them. I go above the norms of what I know the other salons do and pretty much cater to them. |

Rep Power: 23 | Me too, on the robes. When would a customer actually need it and how do you keep up with the laundry? Sounds great for a spa-type setting if you can do their hair, nails, sauna, tanning all under one roof. I'm not trying to sound sarcastic or cynical, I just can't grasp the practicality of the concept. |
