Are There Animals in Your Salon???? - tanTALK

Curious if anyone has any animals at their salon? I know of one who has a very friendly bird. Begs for treats, loves to be scratched and is litter trained.

Cats, dogs, ferrets, lizards, fish????

State of TX does not allow animals in the salon. And, they really don't care what kind. Furry, feathered or finned.

Sandollar has saltwater fish in the lobby of every store. At one point there were lion fish in the tanks, which were very cool.

Illinois says you can only have fish. I would love to have a couple big iguanas and a macaw, but NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Welllll let me seeeeeeee,,,, I have sharks and monkeys.... sharks try to get over me on their tanning bill and monkeys that don't know anything but price shopping. who cares if you get a tan for 2.00 and you don't get color, you got in a tanning bed dincha....

I am also in Texas. I was not aware that you were not allowed to have animals of any kind. I don't have any but was wanting a fish aquarium, glad I haven't gotten it yet. I do know of a few salons in texas that do have aquariums though.
How can I get copy of the regulations in texas?

Call the Department of Health in Austin. They can provide you with the latest regulations. New regulations came out in September. They now require skin typing, id checks, etc.

Twinkle, I'm sorry. I wanted to correct my earlier post. I reread the code last night. You can have aquariums in your salon and seeing eye-dogs.
