Rep Power: 23 | Sorry I didn't mean to do that! Do you guys decorate your salons for the holidays? I've been trying to decide whether I wanted to do something for Halloween or not. Christmas- I already have the stuff for my tropical x-mas tree. Just wanted to see what everyone else does or doesn't do. Cutiepup |

Rep Power: 23 | I'm doing a few decorations here and there. I'm not going crazy with stuff. I'm too tired of dealing with hassle of putting everything up and then having to pull it back down. We also don't have a ton of storage space. |

Rep Power: 24 | We decorate a little...mostly for Christmas. My manager paints the front window about every 3 weeks. She did a really cute Halloween one yesterday with pumpkins and stuff. "Don't be white as a ghost, get a BOO-tiful tan!" with little ghosts flyin around. |

Rep Power: 0 | I think decorating would be another asset for drawing attention for salons - besides Christmas, Halloween is one of the funnest holidays to decorate for. Actually, looking forward to all the holiday hoopla is what helps keep things in a "normal" state - it really helps me keep my mind the recent happenings in the world. This is the first year I've really gotten into it. Try it, it could be a stress reliever & there's no doubt it will draw attention. |

Rep Power: 24 | We do a bit not much it can get tacky really fast. We try to keep in line with our regular decor. This year I think we will add about 3-5 6" fake fig trees, put white mini lights on and then leave them up all year. We already have real orange, grape fruit and tangerine tress all bout 6" They are years old, I bought them as mature trees. In the summer I try to take them home and put them out in the back yard for 3-4 months. They are getting to big and too heavy for that now. So I think I will have to leave 2 at home and bring one back to the store for good. People never believe they are real and pinch the **** out of the fruit.I hate that we even put "I am real signs on them". We also have real orchid plants when in flower. I stopped bringing them from home, people had pinched the **** out of them as well. WHATS UP WITH PEOPLE? One day I got mad at a client and said "what are you doing? if you don't know if its real ask someone, even when I said they are real clients say no they are not and still pinch them" HOLY COW !!! I had a florist shop for 15 years sold it 6-7 years ago, too much work. Every plant I touch bursts in to growth and bloom. |
