Rep Power: 0 | Next question! We currently keep all information in a file drawer, customer cards, or in our heads. I would like to continue to update our salon and am considering a computer and software. Salon has two beds now (plans for two more), a message therapist, nail tech (soon), and the passive exercise equipment.Any suggestions! As you can see we are a very small shop in a small growing town. Any advice or experience would be great. |

Rep Power: 0 | What about hardware? Our shop doesn't make much yet and I'm thinking we need to start cheap with a progrom and system that is expandable. Computer with basic appointment book and client info. Than add sales, cash drawer, timer control, inventory tracking, etc.Does that still sound like Helios or is there one that would be better for what I can spen right now. |

Rep Power: 0 | Rejuv,Helios does everything you mention and more. All the funtions are there. Whether or not you use them is up to you. You can use it without a cash drawer, receipt printer, timer, etc. When you do add these items to your system, you just plug them in and go into Helios setup to let Helios know they are there and how they are connected.Get a computer that has at least Windows 98 SE, and operates at at least 300 Mhz.Helios IS free. Your only cost is (I believe) $29.95 for the "dongle" that plugs into the computers printer port.I used Helios for 5 years. Went from version 6 right on thru to the current version 9. Helios is the best there is.FredPS; if & when you get around to it, I have a good used cash drawer & receipt printer available. Also a Database 10000 timer system. Rep Power: 0 | yeah I've heard that helios doesn't do too well on win95, so be sure to get 98 or better. What about ME and 2000? does helios 9 run properly on those?------------------[url=http://www.control2x.com[/IMG] |
