the max temp allowed for tanning rooms is 100*F "way too hot I feel".the board is considering it be lowered to 85*F.Poor room design and ventiation or cooling is under review.Read in today's immage mag for june.Poorly designed over heating equipment need to be looked at as well.

Actually, since that report, Chuck Stenger has told me that the temperature requirement may either be dropped altogether or left at 100F (other states that mandate a maximum temp. also use 100F). The new regulations ARE NOT in place yet; they're still gathering information. Remember, too, that the 100F is a maximum temperature, just as 85F would be a maximum temperature if that's adopted.If OH-based salon owners have any comments, the OH State Board of Cosmetology continues to meet on the issue. does anyone know the legal verbage for Ohio Required signage for room temp. that has to be posted?
