We were interested in starting a program that would assist in helping a needy family at christmas time. We have shared ideas about toys for tots, christmas charities, etc. But what about the family who has a member unable to work, or their home was destroyed in a fire, or any tragedy that would prevent them from providing christmas for their children.About four years ago I worked for a local lighting company that asked each employee to donate $1.00, $2.00, or whatever they were comfortable donating on a weekly basis that was given to United Way.I like this only I would like for our employees to donate whatever they are comfortable with and at christmas we use the money to help a needy family with christmas presents and paying bills. Not really clear on how we would accept requests or to choose a family but we have approximately 20 fulltime employees @ $1.00 each for 52 weeks that equals $1040.00. That would be a big help to a family at christmas time.Does anyone else have a similar program in place or any advice on the subject would be greatly appreciated.------------------Tracie WilliamsSandollar Corporation

This is truly a great idea. I for one would be happy to contribute. I can find at least a dollar or two in my car at all times.

It was brought to my attention, that another good idea would be to have a can drive. Bring in some canned goods and receive a discount on bed upgrades, this way you help out alot of people, and your resort still makes a profit.

I believe this is an excellent idea, $1 is not hard to find, and it will be a wonderful surprise for a family that will need it at Christmas time. I would be glad to participate in this program. ------------------Tonya CrickCustomer Service ManagerSandollar Corporation
