You might want to take this into consideration.COMPUTER AND E-MAIL USE POLICYThe computer information system, including e-mail and Internet access, is for the use of authorized personnel only. Individuals using this computer system without authority, or in excess of their authority, are subject to disciplinary action, up to and including discharge. In the course of monitoring individuals improperly using this system, or in the course of system maintenance, the activities of all authorized users will be monitored. To protect our systems’ security, every user should use his/her own password to access the system. Using another person’s password or giving your password away is forbidden.PrivacyIt may be necessary to periodically review and inspect information contained in employees’ computers, including computer files and e-mail messages. For security reasons, some of these investigations will be unannounced. Decisions concerning this policy are within the sole discretion of management. The use of Company computers to store personal information or to send personal communications will be deemed consent to this information being reviewed by the Company, as once information is place on Company computers, it is considered Company property.Application of General Company PoliciesThe use of the computer information system, which includes the local area network, e-mail system, and Internet access, is for business purposes only. In other words, this system, is not for commercial ads, jokes, swearing, engaging in computer games, recreational “web surfing,” sending chain letters, holiday greetings, or any other personal use. No executable files, programs or software are to be downloaded via the Internet without management approval. All Internet user activities will be logged to ensure compliance with this policy.All other Company policies also apply to the use of e-mail and the computer information system. For example, the e-mal system shall not be used to send jokes or other comments or materials that may be discriminatory, harassing or offensive to others, or to sent materials that defame an individual, a company or business, or discloses personal information without authorization. Furthermore, solicitation through the use of the electronic mail system is prohibited consistent with the Company’s No-Solicitation Policy. “Hacking,” harassing or other violations/incidents of the above-mentioned guidelines are grounds for immediate dismissal.ConfidentialityGenerally, sensitive or proprietary information is not to be sent via the e-mail system. If it is necessary to transmit such information through the e-mail system, such information should never be transmitted to outside individuals not authorized to receive that information. E-mail messages that contain trade secrets or other confidential information should have their confidential nature designated in bold at the top of the message. |
