I'm headed to Cancun in 15 days from Washington Dc and haven't gotten much sun in a couple of months. Never been to a tanning bed before. What should I do. Don't want to get burned down there! How long should you tan and how often to get a good base.Thanks.

Well I know you should start out small. Like 10-12 mins and work your way up to more time. Tracie can you offer any better advice?------------------[url=http://www.control2x.com[/IMG]

Myrtle,I'm not sure 15 days will allow you enough exposure for that sort of climate in regards to protection from sunburn however, you should not rush in especially if you have never tanned in a indoor unit. You will want to begin 5 to 7 minutes just to be sure you don't burn as well to be sure this is a comfortable choice you have made. If you don't burn or get pinkish then you can increase your time 2 to 3 minutes increments. Trust me, those couple of minutes "DO" make a difference. Although you will have created a good base tan you will still need to use a sunscreen while you are on vacation.A quickier way to increase the color is using a bronzer. That will help!------------------Tracie WilliamsSandollar Corporation

I don't think 2 weeks is enough time either. Be sure to take SUNSCREEN as if you have an exisiting tan or not you will need it down there. You always need to remember just because you have a tan does not prevent you from sunburning. USe at least a 15spf, and of course have fun!
