Ok. Most of you know I work for Sandollar Tanning Resorts. I really do mostly computer work for Solarsoft, but I'm still around the resorts some. Anyways, I had to work later than usual tonight. I know mostly who works the front counter during the day, but in the evening, I don't. So tonight I walked up front to do some stuff to one of the front computers, and I didn't know the two girls who were working up front. But I just went on and did my job, and didn't say really much to them. They didn't question who I was though, and I really doubt they knew who I was. So basically, anyone could've gone up front and accessed any of the computers. Have you ever had someone just walk right up and start messing with stuff? Do you think most people wouldn't have the guts to do it? I would bet, especially if you have more than one salon, that anybody could just walk in one of your stores, and say they work there...or say they work at the other store. Then they could pretty much do whatever they want. I really think the girls probably would've questioned me if I walked in the front doors...but since I came from the back of the store, they probably just thought I worked there. Tell me your thoughts on this.solid

Wouldn't the PW's, and Thumb thing pretty much prevented your "messing" if you were just an outsider?

I had a former employee set her timer manually since the person running the salon was not at the front desk. Some people have nerves of steel.

I am sure you had an air of purpose about you that they didn't think to question. But in truth, you should have introduced yourself and let them know you would be working on things.

That's actually a little scary when you stop and think about it.. I had one customer just trot behind the counter and take the tupperware container with the candy in it and pick out the ones she wanted, without even asking do you have any different candy then the ones in the dish.I had one customer while one of my employees was cleaning a bed take a bottle of lotion off the shelf and leave the cash right on the front counter.People do have nerves if steel..

We have had ex-employees to come into a salon where a "friend" or associate worked the desk and while the clerk was away keyed themselves into a bed, without time, without paying. It is ultimately the desk clerks job to prevent anyone from coming into their work area. They are responsible for the desk while they are on duty as they would be at any other job. They wouldn't allow you to enter behind the counter at Captain D's and prepare your own plate.....
