Does anyone have an opinion on the point system for cutomers (you know, when they purchase points instead of single sessions)? Positive, or Negative. I'm all ears.

I use the point system to buy visits. I set it up in my software which bed would use 1 point & which would use 2 points. So if someone purchases 6 points they can tan in a regular bed 6 times or a VHR bed 3 times. Or twice in a VHR bed & 2 times in a regular, etc.

The main thing with points is to disassociate the tanning time with real money. The carnivals have done this successfully for years. A ride cost X tickets. The tanning bed costs X points. You buy the tickets or points and then use them. Each bed based on the level of upgrade cost the tanner so many points.I think Bruce from TanToday tried it and didn't like it.It would appear to confuse the customer, however, they may be the trick to get more money!

Churn:Points were discussed extensively in the thread dealing with "Sandollar and the death of EFT's." Still playing in a theater near you.And no, Bruce didn't "try them" and "drop them," he is slowly implementing them, but at a controlled pace so as not to upset things too much during the transition, again, discussed in yonder village.

Linda,That is just how Bruce is. Full of attitude.He complains about retail tanners on his site. The truth is that if he would quit coming over here talking about 'his' site and having his moderators post links, some people wouldn't even know he is there.But in reality he likes the page views.

Actually we did not Kill our EFT program! We are restructuring it! I love transferring money from people accounts every month! Look for a post on what we did and what I didn't like.
