Hi. Right now I am just employed at a tanning salon- I might add that I am only 19..Anywho I was wondering how I could advance individually into the industry- and what training I may need...I love everything about personal image-if you will- and just finished a semester at Ursuline College with a major in Fashion Merchandising- however I didn't like that institution and would rather keep fashion as a hobby- Do you reccommend cosmetology training- or something else- and where should I look? Thanks a million! Susan

Susan,If personal Image is something you are looking for then maybe you should try"Esthetics" or Beauty therapy. The art of Esthetics is inhancing the body both physically and psychologically. There are three groups of Estheticians...1)Medical - Plastic surgery, acne, scars, etc.2)Clinical - Skin care clinic that focus mainly on the aspects of the skin.3)Spa or Salon - Cater to Rejuvenation and relaxtion My choice would be clinical if you want to be an asset to the tanning industry.------------------Tracie WilliamsSandollar Corporation

Susan,You are very welcome! You may want to try your local yellow pages under trade or vocational schools or I found alot of info in yahoo.com.I was very interested in pursuing something such as this myself but now I'm entirely too busy with 5 resorts.Good Luck with this venture and please keep in touch to let me know how it goes!------------------Tracie WilliamsSandollar Corporation
