Rep Power: 24 | This time of year many food banks find a great need to be replentished. 4 years ago we started a great fundraiser that has really grown to be an area event and really gets the word out about hunger and our salon. When other salons were only doing the "Tan For A Can" thing, we blew them away. For more info, check out the link to our fundraiser site.Hot Tub 2000Takes a lot of work to get it going, but now it is a piece of cake. If you would like more details on how we got it going, just let me know.Mike------------------Take A Trip To The Coast...Palm Coast Tann mike@palmcoasttann.com |

Rep Power: 24 | We actually have several volunteers that "work" in shifts to make sure that there are always people in both hot tubs. Most spend about 4 hours some have come back many times and spend up to 12-14 hours during the event in the tubs.We do also offer the free tanning for food or monetary donations. Great promotion and great way to help a super cause.Mike------------------Take A Trip To The Coast...Palm Coast Tann mike@palmcoasttann.com |

Rep Power: 0 | Mike, I think the Hot Tub 2000 fundraiser looks like alot of fun! Great idea! Did you run into alot of obstacles trying to get the program together or was all of your partners very supportive in the idea? Looks like it may take alot of time to organize. How much time did you have to prepare for such an event?------------------Tracie WilliamsSandollar Corporation |

Rep Power: 24 | The first year we had some difficulty just because it was a new idea. Since then, we actually have people that contact us wanting to help sponsor. We always keep our contacts up to date, we send out thank you letters in which we include the total amount raised so that they can display it along with some pictures. We then send out a letter late summer reminding them that the event dates have been set and again thanking them for last years help. We call on them in September and all is set to go by mid October. The volunteers who sit in the tubs also help with putting up posters, flyers and selling the raffle tickets. This year, we are scheduled to appear on 2 local TV news programs and 4 radio morning shows.Remember this is all FREE advertising! Not only to help a great cause, but our name is out there for well over a month for free. This takes some work to get going, but it gets easier every year. If you are in Fargo next weekend, stop by. I would be happy to answer any other questions people may have.Mike------------------Take A Trip To The Coast...Palm Coast Tann mike@palmcoasttann.com |
