How do you handle customers that visit your salon in less than appropriate attire? Not necessarily not enough clothing on, how about too much! We recently had a manager to have a customer come in with her robe on. Looking as if she had just gotten out of bed.Do you believe your customers should maintain a certain dress code as a show of respect for others such as other public places have implemented?If so, what are your ideas on approaching the subject with a customer?------------------Tracie WilliamsSandollar Corporation

Arriving in their pjs is very common in the am and especially on the weekends. Clients are generally not at their best when coming in to tan except if it's during lunch(which overlaps w/some pj people) or after work(when some then change into sweats/workout wear). We've never viewed this as a problem. Remember when looking at a customer to realize that what they look like and/or are wearing has no impact on their consumer value. What we do not tolerate is unacceptable behavior and we have no qualms about discussiing anything of this nature with a customer.
