Rep Power: 23 | Just wanted to see anyone has feedback or info on running a travel service along with your salon. I've been looking into the business. The area I'm in is very business/pleasure travel oriented. Many of my clients travel several times a year. Just wondered if anyone had any good or bad comments.ThanksCutiepup |

Rep Power: 23 | I heard a news report this week on CNBC that a lot of travel agencies were upset because some cruise lines were not going to give agencies their % of sales any longer.I had thought about this too, but felt it was too risky. |

Rep Power: 0 | My advice would be not to do it. I have a good friend who has owned her own travel agency for 14 years. Does mostly corporate travel. Always been very lucrative. She has been having a rough time lately. The airlines keep cutting commissions more and more and now the cruise lines have started into the fray. At least Carnival.Plus gon2cali has a good point about the internet sites. |
