Has anyone tried doing gift sets with body lotion and shower gel, etc?I ordered body lotion, shower gel, bath fizz and bar soap from a company in MO. Really cute product. Family owned and operated company, which is what I normally try to deal with. A customer came in on Saturday. She likes the product. She gives gift baskets to her clients at christmas. She told me that last year she went through BBW (famous mall chain) and spent about $40 per set. I told her that I could make them for $30 or less. She said that she would be getting back with me next week to let me know how many she would need. She is also willing to pay 1/2 down so that I can order the product to make the sets.Beautiful. Now I don't think that I will be sweating as bad through my first slow season. Yeah!!!

this is a grest package, i have offered it for 2 years, and still have them. it is also a hard sell for me, but if i get 1-2 cust. interested then they go like hotcakes.

I have to say that as a consumer (I am still in the planning stages of my salon) I think that the gift sets are great. The one thing I am thinking about is when the soonest is that I can take a shower and smell nice again. AND How to take care of my skin. The needs of the skin change when you are tanning and that should be taken into consideration when these gift sets are made up. A great place to set these gift sets is at the counter where the customer lingers.... Just a thought as a consumer....

Thanks Amy. It's always nice to have consumer input. I've noticed that since I bought my salon my perspective has changed. I cannot look at things with a consumer's eye anymore.
