Has anyone tried skin care products in their resort? How did it go over?My thinking is this....With all the negative talk re: Tanning Beds it would be a great comeback if Tanning resorts offered something to combat those negative words in showing our customers their skin care is very important to us by making skin care products available through our resort instead of a cosmetic counter or pharmacy. Purchasing these items outside our salons gives others the opportunity to "bash" our industry when they don't have a clue to what they are speaking of!!Let me know what you think???------------------Tracie WilliamsSandollar Corporation

There were alot of great new moisturizers and skin care products displayed this weekend at the ITA show...Full line of skin care products by numerous vendors...This goes to prove that skin care is a very important role in our industry and we must provide information, product, and education to our customers.... It's not just for our financial benefit, because we are "Smart Tan" certified it's our responsibility and commitment to our customers!!------------------Tracie WilliamsSandollar Corporation

We think that skin care is one of the most important venues for a tanning company. It is the one add-on service that we think is the most "sellable" to clients. Not as purely a monetary supliement to a salon's financial well-being, but to a well rounded offer to a customer. We as a company we unable to participate in the Nashville show, however we were represented at one of the booths there! We are planning on being at the chicago show, with samples and tons of product! We hope you stop by! (just got to get all the stuff taken care of with the expo) Soap Opera wants to help salons become more well rounded in thier product offereing. Especially in the area of skin care! We hope that those of you who saw our products at the nashville show were pleased!------------------Shane AndrewsCEO, Soap Opera Bath & Shower, IncHttp://www.soapoperasoap.com

We carry most of the JA line (skin care & tanning) and we do ok with it. They have some great items such as their Vitamin Milk (high vitamin C concentration to combat free radicals) and Firming Eye Gel, which is not only good for fine lines around the eyes, BUT...when one did not get quite enough sleep and has puffy eyes, it takes the puffy out 'with a quickness'! Actually, on a more personal note-I recently got my eyeliner tattooed on. The following morning my eyes were swollen so bad it looked like I had walnuts under my upper and lower lids! I got thinking about how to take the swelling down since I was on my way to the salon. Well, I put Bacitracin on (as recommended by the tattooist) and then over that...you guessed it, FIRMING EYE GEL! It did a great job taking the swelling down. It took about 80% of it down! Anyway, I digress (as usual). We sell quite a bit of their Shower Gel, Body Mist, Eye Gel, Vitamin Milk, Body Oil (not the accellerator).I see they are coming out with a new Sea Salt Body Scrub. Looks very interesting. There are also a couple other additions to their skin-care line if I am not mistaken. BUT~ I hear talk that they are no longer making the EYE GEL and this upsets me! Not only does my entire staff (and myself) use it religiously, but so do many, many of my clients!!!~JA...IF YOU ARE LISTENING, SAY IT ISN'T SO!!!!!!~Anyway, skin care does well for us!

Bober,Let us know what you find out. I've got to have some of that eye gel...I cry even over the Hallmark commercials so you can imagine if I watch a sad movie! My eyes show it the next morning. This would be great for my puffy eyes.
