Lotions being brought into our salon - tanTALK

I am very new to tanning, in fact I'd say my experience with the whole tanning industry can best be described as "Baptism by fire." I got no training to speak of when I was hired, but I learned as went, forums and blogs were where I got all my instruction. So I come to you all with an issue I'm finding frustrating. I work hard at educating our tanners without being a nudge, I have gotten the point across that tanning with lotions works better than without, however I'm finding regulars coming in with lotions purchased outside our salon! How do I let our clients know that knock-offs and off brands won't work the way ours will. Also that our prices are competitive with Amazon so why not support local businesses?

The lotion manufactures under cut you. You promote their brand and then they find a way to take your customers. Australian gold was walmarts shelf lotion ask your lotion providers for better pricing and see what happens

When i said ask your lotions reps for better pricing i should have added that there is no way youll find a sypathetic ear
