Bronzers vs Natural Bronzers???

CONFUSED!!!!!!!!!!

All this terminology makes me weep!....PLEASE can someone clearly explain to me what a natural bronzer is? When I see bronzer on a label I think DHA or Erythrulose. Both chemicals that can 'stain' skin (and will make palms brown when applied if not cleaned off).

So how is a 'natural bronzer' different.....I know its things like walnut etc but how come they make the skin dark but not the palms etc?

AND another question...when I a product says '8 x bronzer' or '25 x bronzer' what does that mean> Does it really mean that there is 25x the concentration of DHA in it or does it mean something else?

THANKS!!

Natural/Cosmetic bronzers won't stain your hands or body as they wash off. The lotions have such a little amount in them that they don't really make much difference to your tan. I don't have any faith at all in cosmetic bronzers as I think they are a waste of space in the ingredients. Basically its like using an accelerator with some colour already in it, for an immediate bronzing affect. But that bronzing obviously washes off in the shower/or even throughout the day on your clothes, so you may as well just use an accelerator.

The bronzers with dha/erythrulose in them actually stain the skin temporarily and act like a light self tanner. They wear off after a few days.

I think its just marketing.

When you are buying a bronzer, look on the back for the ingredients and see how far up the top the dha or erythrulose is. The higher up, the more there is in the lotion.
