Some of them do, but the silicone line looks pretty good.

Re: Tan Talk Welcomes Punky Tan lotions

Talked to a rep today. Sounded okay to begin with but I am just not digging the membership fee. What I find ridiculous is that they really expect you to believe that they are selling the lotions at cost. I buy private label silicone quality lotions for less than that with no membership fee. I also think this company is Three Wishes reinvented. They are from the same area and the woman I spoke to kept talking about thier lotions having the peptides in them like three wishes. Now if you were going to compare your new lotion line why would you compare it to that company?

I have had nothing but raving reviews for the Cashmere lotion. Staff and client love it.

If this is a 3 wishes company, run.

Re: Tan Talk Welcomes Punky Tan lotions

Never dealt with 3 wishes so have no experience with them. So far this company has been fine to deal with and the products have been great and at a very good price. I have a waiting list for one of the products already.

Shipping is expensive and takes a long time compared to others though. That has been my only complaint so far. I pay with pay pal so I feel secure in that area.

I used their top end lotion and feel I got better results from it when compared to luminary. One of my girls thought the same thing.

One area I see a problem is the retail price is much lower compared to some others. Their silicone line retails for $50. Compared to the retail of Luminary the profit margin is less. For me this is not an issue since I don't sell at retail. I'll make about the same off their product as I do a bottle of Luminary, but their bottle is smaller so it'll work out better for us.

They are offering a free trial so the only out of pocket you'll have is product and shipping. My first order was around $70.... Pretty cheap test in my opinion.

Pick your own retail price. It is an unknown product, isn't in catalogs or ebay. Nobody in your salon will have any idea what it "should" cost. Set the price you want.

My fear would be that it is listed it some point. I am selling close to retail and happy with the margin so no issue for me. Other that can sell at other lotions at retail may need to bump up the price though.

Re: Tan Talk Welcomes Punky Tan lotions

They either bought or merged with 3 wishes since they carry the 3 wishes products I sell. I only sell the 8 oz ones, Top Hat, Knight, Torment, etc. They don't do too bad with those in the $25-$30 price range, kids, bottom feeders, etc. They have the Ed Hardy look to their packaging. I did use some of their products when we first started carrying some of their stuff about 4 years ago and the only one I really liked well was the BronzeRX. The ones I previously mentioned above had way too much cosmetic bronzer for me.
One drawback, they have little to no customer support and absolutely no training/marketing help for you or your staff.

Unhappy Re: Tan Talk Welcomes Punky Tan lotions

Pauly D mid-season launch. Anyone tried it? Looks good but. Wondering if it will sell? Already carry all jwow and its dying out in my salon. My competition carrying snooki. Want different than them but trendy. This is only my trendy line but I also carry mostly AG or DS
They just never get great packaging or trendy products.
