Anyone know of a generic to Neutrogena Ultra Sheer sunblock?

Hi all. tried to get my question in the title so as not to waste anyones time. Im looking for a manufacturer who can produce a sunblock very close to the Neutrogena Ultra-sheer Dry-touch sunblock product they have out. I would appreciate any information regardless of how small.

Thank you, Russ

Ewww.... 13 carcinogens? Why would anyone want to put anything that low grade on their skin! Its a wal-mart product, priced as such and very dangerous.

well im all for an education. that product seems to be well received. I realize that chemical sunscreens are somewhat controversial and we are looking at mechanical agents like ti-dioxide. I would love to do an all natural sunblock if i could find one that would work as well. So your aluding to a better product. Well...tell me about it. Thanks!

Hey Unity, I was under the impression you had some useful information to share yet I still see nothing posted although you've been online. You made it sound like you are somewhat of an expert on the subject. Well....im all ears! :-)

Im sorry, I dont spood feed. The internets are like a series of tubes and there is TONS of information out there. This was the first easy find:

http://www.skinbiology.com/toxicsunscreens.html

It even lists the more dangerous chemicals. Should be a good starting point to get you going.

I saw that page before. Nothing new and nothing earth shattering. Aspirin is bad for you too. So Im guessing by your response you really dont have any suggestions for a better product. Your position now appears to be that ALL sunscreens are bad and cheaply made right? Not really helpful to my original post but thanks anyway.

FYI Dermatologist often recommend Nuetrogena to their patients. I do not think they sell a bad product at all. I also till my clients it is safe to use on their spray tans too.

Re: Anyone know of a generic to Neutrogena Ultra Sheer sunblock?

I agree its a nice product. And evidently its one of the strongest selling sunblock products right now. Of course Walgreens already has their knock-off on the shelf right next to it. Our goal is to develope a better product. But we have two directions to look at. Once is efficacy (what works best) and then the more natural approach of limiting the chemicals and still trying to make a product that works.

So maybe I'm confused unibesa....you are a vendor, a salon owner, or what? You are trying to do a private label version for yourself, or looking to take something further?

There are several lotion manufacturers there in the Florida area -have you tried contacting any of them?
