Never used Carnival...Smoke tends to streak and be on the "orange" side.

I personally like them both but do lean towards Smoke Black(I love the color kick I get from it) and in the salon it would out sell the Carnivale.

I prefer the Smoke Black, yet sell more of the Smoke Hemp than the smoke black. Not too many people want that strong of a bronzer.

If you orange easy I would leave Smoke Black alone and give the Carnivale a try.
