Rep Power: 24 | Re: LOTION BAR we offer a body bar. i purchase bottles we don't normally sell and i pre-cup everything. so in an 8.5 oz bottle with each shot being 0.5 oz, i get 17 shots. retail the shots so it covers the cost of the bottle and turns a profit. it's a good way to test bottles out before adding them to your selling inventory.

How does that work? Do you keep bottles on hand in case they want to purchase the bottle? Also are you using the 1/2 or 1 ounce cups? Thanks bunches. |

We just perfected it the last 2 years. What we did was we purchased a 10 pump dispenser station with professional pumps and 32 oz round containers. The dispenser is 2 tiered and put our PL on the bottom and another line on top. Put the labels around the top of dispener for easy reading. Our staff pumps the sample for the guest and we charge a flat rate of $5 per 1/2 oz sample cup; fill it to the rim and we sell tons of samples and 8-10x the guest will buy a bottle or just luv sampling the other product until the find one they luv.. Mega $s for you salon and great professional sampling for your guest.. |

If they ask for a lid, we will give one. I am looking to add more pumps. By the way, they can of course mix between them. A little of this and that. Its actually a lot of fun to watch clients make their own "cocktails".
