I sent the junk back and they said it arrived in "unsalable condition" and would not refund my $$s. My impression is it arrived to me in unsalable condition. Promising to guarantee it....ya right! Simply stay away from these lying thieves!! And all the others that have been mentioned in this thread. You'll eventually get screwed! That's my experience. |

That's so rude, do they actually think that I am going to forget about their rude behavior tomorrow when they call back numerous times. I wouldn't care if their lotions performed mircacles, with sales people like that representing the company They Will Never Get My Business! |

Rep Power: 0 | Re: Rio Tanning Lotions? I have worked with Rio resently for the first time. After (I must admit) an abundance of calls, they put together a package that was small enough for my salon and suitable that I decided to try it. I now have "New Moon", "Love Affair" & "Daylight" in my salon. They are going fairly well actually. My rep from Rio is Paul. He is pretty informative and when I tell him I'm busy or am not going to purchase more inventory till next month, he doesn't continue to hound me. So far I am satisfied but am still flooded with calls daily from other companies. It's the companies who call and it's obvious to me their employee is reading off a computer screen and when I respond with ingredient questions, etc. they typically fumble over their answer. I am shocked at how rude some of the cold callers are! There are definitly a few businesses I will not be working with simply due to customer service.

Rep Power: 16 | Re: Rio Tanning Lotions? Don't bother with them. First of all, the manager gets on the phone and greets me with "hey there girlfriend" I don't know who she thinks she is but I'm not her "girlfriend" Then, when I tell her that I am not interested in bringing lotions until I try them first, she says "Oh girlfriend they are top sellers you won't be able to keep them on your shelf" Then once again I reply with if they are so amazing send me a sample and then we can talk, next thing I know she just hangs up. What a surprise. Don''t trust these aftermarket distributors. They are not worth your time!!

Re: Rio Tanning Lotions? after having been hounded by them for the last 3 years, we decided to give them a small order because the sales rep assured us that if we did not like the lotion, we could return it within 30 days, no problem. the new moon and love affair were not too bad, but the tingle lotion, heat stunk to high heaven. it is still sitting on our shelves. we contacted rio to make arrangements to return the product only to be told by the reprensentative there would be a 15% re shelving fee, and we would have to pay for the return postage. if rio was unhappy with the condition of the returned product, our money would not be returned. I asked to speak to the manager and expressed my disappointment in the lotion and their sales reprenstative who assured me there would be no difficulty in returning the product. I asked the manager why the rep did not explain the full return policy at the time of the sale, and she informed me it was their job to make the sale only! I told her i would never do business with them again, and i would never recommend them to any either. stay far, far far away from them | |
