Maybe they can order in something less expensive for you, at least you'll know you're getting what you paid for that way. On ebay you might be getting old or damaged stock, no reputable manufacturer will stand behind a purchase made outside of a professional salon.

Rep Power: 22 | Re: Where to buy lotions? Well the real question is do you want to spend more on tanning? If customers can not support a major source of income for their tanning salon then they should certainly NOT expect deals. Salons will have to raise prices! Salons are not "Wal-Mart", they are often small Ma & Pa shops that make it by "ok".

So it's like buying a fake bag, which is cool I guess, if that's how you roll. Difference is lotion is slathered on and absorbed into your skin. Is it worth saving $ or saving your skin?

or $150 on their hair... which grows out, and they have to re-do often and they can damage as they see fit cause it just gets cut off anyways... but won't spend $60 on a decent lotion to take care of an important part of their body that cannot be cut off if damaged? Oh, Caribbean Island Tan... IAT people jump down peoples throats ALL THE TIME for not buying lotion from their salons. Maybe it would behoove you to not be so negative about a site that encourages tanners to support their salon and buy their lotions AT the salon. And to buy a number of bottles, for that matter. Find someone on IAT who posts regularly and has less than 5 lotions, or gets their lotions online, and you've found the exception to the rule. ~Katy | |

I have twice taken the bottle from them and turned it in to the distributor so they could get the serial off it and blacklist the people who bought it and sold it on ebay so they can't order from them. One: You don't know if the lotion is the real deal Two: That is something you put on your body, anyone could add something into the lotion. Three: Tanning beds are expensive, you are not getting in mine unless I know what you are using will not hurt my beds or yourself. If you were to go to the hospital for some reason (the lotion) you would still try to place blame on my salon. |

Rep Power: 18 | Re: Where to buy lotions? Sara There are lots of many different lotions out there that your salon owner can purchase for you from a large variety of prices. I know if you talked to the person working at the salon when you go and in let them know can't afford a lotion over say $20 or $30 they will be able to find something in that price range with the properties you are looking for, ie bronzer, tingle etc... Granted it won't be the "best lotion" that costs $125 but it will work. many times when you buy a lotion from Ebayers or other sites they are not the lotions you think they are. Many times someone will purchase that bottle of lotion, use then refill the bottle with say Jergens from Wal-mart or whatever and then re-sell it to you. There is no telling whatelse could be in that bottle, people have done some pretty sick things, like urinate in that then re-sell it. Please don't do this and rick getting something horrible on your skin, it really is not worth saving the extra $30 or however much you want to save. Please talk to you salon and tell them you work like to purchase a salon quality lotion but a $30 or $20 price and they will work with you. You will be much happier in the long run! Good luck, and happy tanning! |
