Rep Power: 0 | Tanning Noob (need help with lotion purchase) Hi all. I would like to get advice on tanning lotions. I have fairly sensative skin (my face gets really red if I go into level 1 beds at Tan Co.) For the past couple months I have began mystic tanning because that gives me a tan without the burn that I typically get when I go into the standard level 1 beds. I am beginning to hate mystic tanning because it misses a portion of my body and looks terrible when I take off my shirt because it looks blotchy and embarassing because I am a guy and I am would be very embarassed if people knew that I went spray tanning haha. I now want to go regular tanning and I know I might have to go and spend the extra money and purchase the more expensive beds because those are the beds that darken your skin because they go deeper into your skins layers (thats what the lady at the tan co. told me so I believe her.) I want to buy the best tanning products that will help my skin look really tan and natural without the redness that the level one beds without lotion seem to do to me. I have done a little research and seen the new Australian Gold Crystal XII lotion as probably the best lotion I can buy because it has so many tanning bronzers and accelerators. Would this be a good purchase for me? Also, I might have to purchase the Crystal Face lotion for my face. Would these be good purchases (I know they are expensive but I am willing to pay for them if they are quality products)? Last thing, are facial accelerators worth the money? If so, which one do you all recommend? I really appreciate it and am eager to hear what some tanning experts have to say about advising a newbie like myself on lotion products. Thanks alot. |

Any recs on any lotions other than Australian Gold products? I just figured they were good because they are the only brand I had heard of before. |

That's right it's often damaged, expired or stuff they can't sell because the stock got contaminated. We had a client brag about buying a bottle so cheap online and didn't know they quit making the product 2 years previous. You will also have them in the old packaging when you receive the product.

"levels" are an industry buzzword and what some would say are level one, may be a level 3 to others. Lotions, regardless of the brand, are not going to stop you or make you turn red ( unless its a tingle) The better the skin care ingredients, of which crystal 12 does claim to have a lot ( and my favorite) the better your skin will be prepared to recieve the u.v. light. IMO, if you are using the crystal 12, u dont need anything further for your face. Except for a good tan extender to use after shaving, showering.

work on your base tan first and not burning before you pay more for a bed, yes there is some truth to this statement, but from what I am reading in your post you are over exposing already, you don't need to over expose in a """better bed"" |
