Selling Lotion..with a good customer flow? - tanTALK

My salon is tanning almost 100 people per day right now.. we tan about 3 times that in season..
but my staff is selling no lotion right now.. I mean none.. we tanned 105 clients yesterday.. and had no product sales.. help!!

Fire them and get new people. Thats ridiculous. Or do some kind of incentive program.

It is driving me crazy.. we are 20% priced under retail and have a rewards program for each dollar spent... I think I have customer service reps not sales people..

Remind them they are sales people and this what they have been hired to do. With 105 tans and no lotion sold there is a problem. Do you have managers in place or are you the go to person?

They are on 10% commission + $9 / hr + free tanning and product at cost..they are well taken care of.

I am owner.. no "manager" per say.. I just know when I am there, lotion sells like crazy..
today it is 2:45 and we have tanned about 50 people.. no lotion again..

like 1 bottle of lotion for every x tans?

Anywhere from a $2 - $3 LPPA is what everyone seems to agree on.
