I'm sorry Mr. Derf your one main location does not cater to a whole industry it caters to your demographics in your area. I should have said any company that caters to an industry. So do you think by ETS owning most of the lotions company this will benefit salon owners or it will not? I think we are seeing historic moments in this industry. Some may algin themselves with ETS while others will not. New Sunshine may have a lot of money. But how wise can they be by investing more and more of it into an industry that is going through some downsizing? We must await for the future will bring. | |

I hear either people who hate AG and want to do nothing but bash them and their products, or people who think this isn't such a bad thing, or even those who think this is great. The reality of the situation is no matter what any one of us want to believe our industry is dying. Sure their may be enough business to put money in our banks, but when there is essentially only one person (company) controlling the vast majority of our income we are doing nothing more than paying them for the privilage of making a few dollars. Meanwhile there is no control over pricing, quality, or consistancy allowing Trevor and the crew to do as they please. When I started in this business there were less than a hand full of companies offering lotions and other products, after a ridiculous era of fly-by-nighters and snake-oil salesmen, we are worse off now than were 20 years ago. Congratulations Trevor, to you and all of your brain-washed minion. I for one will NEVER carry any of your products no matter what. I have never been impressed with your offerings or your business tactics. I realize my boycott will not even be a tiny blip on your radar, but I refuse to sell my soul or my business principles out to allow the monopoly you have created to be proliferated in my business. I hope there are some of you out there that have the love of this industry that I do and are willing to support other independent operators. |

Houchins owns 4 Seasons Hilberts own Sunshine Holding (ETS) It's a cleansing & the strong will survive. Lotions have become a commodity item. Just like Coke & Pepsi we have AG & CT. The big guys are in place & the rest can hope to do as well as Snapple has.
