THAT'S WHY you tan faster. The process has already started BEFORE the UV exposure.

If you tan WITHOUT the niacin, it may take a couple minutes for the process to start.

Tingle is BY FAR the best and only REAL tanning ACCELERATOR. Everything else is an enhancer or skin conditioner.

They say cooling lotions do approximately the same thing, as they also 'alert' the skin that something is happening. Just wondering whether anyone knows if this is true?

I use the Designer Skin cooling lotion... I HOPE that it does the same thing as tingle... I cant use tingle. I was wondering the same thing.

Sorta. Niacin is what the body uses to induce tanning.

I guess ANYTHING that "irritates" or turns the skin red would work. Menthol does seem to have this effect BUT not really. It's more for keeping you more dry in the tanning bed.

As for "I CAN'T USE TINGLE" I have a hard time believing this. You most likely used some CRAP that was meant for a BUFFALO or someone of that size.

Start out low and work your way up.

Hm so there isn't a fire department in your body that warms up the cooled parts of your body? Too bad LOL

I agree about the tingle: start out with a light tingle and go from there. You'll see that in no time you hardly feel it anymore.

I don't really LIKE a tingle, but that's a different issue

I have used some cooling lotions but never felt like they actually cooled me down. Maybe a couple of times but not enough to make a difference.

John Abaté and Tanology have some REALLY cooling lotions, that makes your skin shiver. I was hoping that might work...

I guess with me, I feel the effect after the session is over. I would rather feel it right away like tingle. But some, you notice nothing. I do remember the Platinum 4 Cooling one... that was nice. I actually tried the Tanology Potion 5 yesterday. I just don't like the minty smell but I like Tanology so far.

Well that's why MOST lotions SUCK. They SAY cooling, They SAY a lot of things and they just aren't even close.

What's the second ingredient in a REAL COOLING LOTION (Pzero) ALCOHOL.

That's right baby. ALCOHOL 39-C and it works so good.

No other lotion company has the guts to do that. These guys actually made REAL lotions not just get a base and add a drop of some crap and call it something else.

burns my eyes if I get it in there. Get crazy color too. It's the combo Tingle/Cooling that does it for me.

JA is the only cooling product that works IMO.
