Rep Power: 0 | What did this tingle just do? For those of you that know something about tingles, can you explain this to me? I just went to tan for the first time in 3 years. I know the salon owner and still had 8 visits on my account. Understand that I am light skinned but I tan ok usually. I haven't had any sun yet this summer due to travel. So I wanted a lotion. The girl suggested a tingle and showed me some, I didn't read the bottle first of course. I just like the smell and having never used a tingle before figured I'd try it. It's Satori Sol Blush. I told her to set the time for the full 10 minutes. I was in there doing fine for the first 4-5 minutes but then I started feeling really hot, light-headed and a bit nauseous. I stayed in another 2 or 3 minutes then bailed out. I felt lousy. Still have weird head 3 hours later. I haven't showered yet but parts of my body feel like I have a burn. I'm a bit ticked off with the girl because I looked up the product on line when I returned home and it's for advanced tanners. She knew I hadn't been tanning in ages but she was just a young girl. What I'm trying to figure out is what happened and why I had this reaction? I have an "athletic heart" by nature so it's slower than "normal" so I'm wondering if the tingle's acceleration caused some sort of over stimulation or something? The second question I have is, does anyone have any suggestions for my next trip. I certainly don't dare use this stuff again for a while if ever and I'm going to have to wait a few days before tanning again anyway because I think I've burned a few spots. Any suggestions on product? |

You used an advanced tingle first time tanning. Is all of this accurate? If so, you may want to go to the emergency room. You are going to be burned badly. You quite possibly are going to need medical attention. Just hope and pray that the bed you were in did not have fresh lamps.

If you start getting red whelps or blisters, or start to get a fever, get medical attention. Whatever you feel now after 3 hours, you will be worse by morning.

I laid down when I returned home and feel a lot better. No medications. I don't have a fever, no red bumps or blistering. I just have that back of the knee burn feeling but not to an extreme. Guess you guys aren't going to suggest I go tomorrow huh?;) It sounds like you all think it was more the time in the booth than the tingle. I won't be using that stuff anyway for a good long while if ever. By the way for the guy who is questioning if it's true, trust me that I don't search out tanning messageboards for fun on a Sunday afternoon. I'm project manager for a software developer, I'm not out to kill the tanning industry. Just needed some advice. |

I don't think I'm all that abnormal as random tanner though. You guys all know this business but people like me just want a tan. So I still need to know, do I need to wait until all pink is gone before tanning again? What is the norm for starting up again? 5 minutes in a 10 minute booth? No tingle, I got it! |
