The top third ingred. comprise 90-95% of the contents, the middle third is approx. 5%, and the bottom third is 5% or less. Usually the preservatives are in the bottom 1/3, but with really cheap lotion, the hide the worthy ingredients in the bottom 1/3 too. What's in the top third? Fillers and junk. |

Rep Power: 0 | Re: Can someone tan with this combo?? A little more info. about cyclomethicone. It is a silicone derived emollient. Silicone emollients are occlusive - that is they coat the skin, trapping anything beneath it, and do not allow the skin to breathe (much like plastic wrap would do). Recent studies have indicated that prolonged exposure to the skin to sweat, by occlusion, causes skin irriation. Some synthetic emollients are known tumor promoters and accumulate in the liver and lymph nodes. Silicone was and may still be used as breast implants. We all know how that worked out. Anyway, I wouldn't use that product you're referring to while tanning. |
