Rep Power: 0 | newbie here hi, i am new to tanning, and am glad i found this site, i just recently bought a month worth of tans but was short on cash for lotion, the cheapest lotion the salon had was 56 dollars, i decided to buy off ebay 1 bottle for 10 dollars off the msrp, i bought fortune from ds. i was told by the store owner that i could not tan without lotion and that it had to be salon quality. i am glad i read the post about knockoff lotions, i plan on buying my lotion from the salons instead. i was reading that ct7 was a good product, the salon owner told me it was crap and she did not plan on buying it again. she will only carry ds products she told me california tan products were no good. what is everyone's view on this, she also let me no that she attends 2 classes a year on tanning lotions and that she has been in buisness for 10 years. i think she is mad at me because i did not buy lotion from her, i did but 2 sample packs which cost me 16.00 dollars, for 2 applications. she was kind of rude to me. makes me wish i bought my tans at another salon, she is a know it all. i just wanted to know about lotions and i was telling her about your site and what i learned and she kind of got rude with me. she needs to go to a class on being nice to customers, if you ask me. i would like to know what lotions do you think are great for someone just starting out, i know that not all lotions are going to have the same results with each person. |

Even when I am having the worst day ever, I treat everyone that walks through the door the nicest I can. There's no excuse for poor manners and bad customer service. Secondly CT7 is very good lotion for the face, it's not cheap by any means but it's good. Most salons (in my experience) carry all price ranges of lotions. I'm a little worried that you purchased yours off EBAY because you never know what your going to get and if you told the salon owner that you purchased it through EBAY I can see why she prob. got snotty with you. Good Luck! |

Rep Power: 0 | Re: newbie here sorry, had no idea it was a problem buying any lotion online, i am 30 years old. i was only asking because there is only one salon in my area that offers lotions and i have bought from her. i would just like to try other brands beside ds products, that is why i asked, she will not buy other brands, only that brand, i already asked. also this salon is a clothing place/tanning salon. there is not a tanning salon by it self in this small town. i am not going to travel with the price of gas just to get a certain type of lotion. i have bought 300 dollars in tanning lotions they are inside my storage building far fom me, we moved to this town because of hurricane rita and i have desided to start tanning again. i have never been to a salon that would not offer more than one type of brand is all. i guess i will have to continue using ds line. i also would like to say that i do not appreciate someone telling me not to ask where to buy lotion online, this is the frist time i have asked this question, and i asked this for a reason not so i could get it cheaper, but because there is certain lotions that are not sold in my area. will not ask again. |
