Newbie needs comebacks - tanTALK

Hi all.

I'm pretty positive this has been covered before in some sort of fashion but I would like to revisit it if you don''t mind. What I am looking for here is some comebacks or intelligent responses to a few instances.

"I buy this stuff at Wal-Mart for $4".

I have yet to pick some up to study the ingredients etc. But what's up with this stuff? It's the indoor/outdoor stuff. What can I tell them about their purchase that will make them want to throw it away and AT LEAST buy a $20 low-end bottle from me. - Don't get me wrong, I've been selling lotion and being a guy, oddly they seem to buy what I tell them to buy. What I need is some beginner tips on this Wally crap.

"When I don't use lotion - I tan, when I do - I don't tan (-or- as well)".

What? Unless they are using something with SPF, I don't get it. That's kinda what I say. I mean we all know what lotion accomplishes, why would this ever impede results in a bed? Weird and most likely untrue because they are probably misjudging their burn results instead of tan results. I don't know, you tell me.

What I can tell you is that I have a couple of products that will work very well with your skin type to maximize your color in the shortest period of time. This is one ~pull bottle from shelf~ of my favorites! I know it will work for you too! The main thing to remember is that tanning dries your skin out a little, and moist skin tans far faster and darker than dry skin. I have this product that is very inexpensive, and provides decent moisturization and nutrients. Which would you like to try today?"

That's awesome.

I have to admit, that I have fumbled around with a few fragments of what you wrote but being new at this, sometimes it doesn't come out as smooth or even remotely rehearsed. I'm betting this time next year everybody will be buying even if they are carrying one in hand from last visit (my lotion that is). LOL.
