Thanksgiving is coming up faster than I thought, and I wasnt able to go tanning for a week, cuz I was sick... which sucked!!! So I lost quite a bit of color becuase since I am a red head, so my tan doesnt stay that long. And my salon is offering if you buy a lotion over $30 you get a free session in an upgrade bed (UltraBronze, Matrix). I was thinking of buying Shrine (cuz it gives my good color) and was thinking of using it in the Matrix for a few days in a row like a week before thanksgiving, becuase it will be the first time my WHOLE family will have seen my since I started tanning back in August. So I really wanted to boost my color, with the matrix. Is this a good idea, or will I just DIE in the Matrix?

The Matrix is a high-pressure bed, but that doesn't mean you can't burn. Start as early as possible,use a low level (base bed ) low pressure bed every other day. Be sure you're very careful with minutes.!! Then the last 3 times you tan use the Matrix. You're results will be enhanced this way as you will have more available pigment to oxidize ( bronze ).

I have used the Matrix at least 10 times before and have been tanning for 4 months now, so i dont need to build a base tan, already did that! I was just wondering if it was OK to use it becuase tingles "open you" (i think) to let in more rays, and since using the matrix is like equivalent to going 5 times in a regular bed, i was just wondering if it was good to use it. But i will just ask my salon. Thanks anyways!

Hello Matrix Man,

Tingles don't actually "open you up" to more rays. They actually increase micro-circulation, bringing more melanin and oxygen to the surface of the skin. They do help you get darker but don't increase your'e chances to burn. Only excessive UV rays can do that.
