I can imagine that after a couple years that they may, but really don't know. I would think that with a tingle that it may loose it's "potentsy" after a while. Anyone want to help me out? Thanks!

Tanning lotions have about a two year shelf life regardless. Usually you can smell a spoiled lotion. Thats the best way to tell if you should use it or not. Sometimes people who use tingles build a resistance to the tingle feeling. So its hard to tell if the product is bad by the feeling of the tingle.

A rep told us years ago that the lotions had a shelf life of about a year. I think they had said it was a little more, but if you took into consideration when the lotion was made, packaged and sent to the disty, and then sent to you, figure about a year. It could be longer but who wants product sitting around for two years? If it isn't selling, clearance it out and carry lotions that are moving.

I think the best technique I know so far is the squeeze test. If you can squeeze the bottle and the lotion rises a liitle bit above the top of the lid solid you are good. If you squeeze it and it does not rise but just runs over the top it is losing its consistency and is starting to break down.
This does not work well of Fiji Bottles. I do not reccemend squeezing their plastic bottles. They have a speical top and it is very squirt happy!

I've always heard 1 year. But, that's if it's stored a room temperature. Heat or cold can make it go bad sooner. And, believe me, there's nothing worse than buying a bottle of lotion just to find it's gone clumpy.

I have a couple of bottles of X Power Bronzer that seem runny and smell terrible. Anyone else have this happen?

that's just the lotion...Bronzers go bad the fastest, especially if exposed to heat

IMHO all lotions should have a born on and an expiration date...To my knowledge (correct me if I am wrong) at this time the only lotions with expiration dates are the ones with SPF such as Soul & Halo....

Another way of telling if they are going or are already is they become extra runny, dolor change and if course the smell is less than desireable.... We should request this on all lotions...

Have A Great Day, Soo

I have been requesting tamper-proof packaging as well.
