Rep Power: 0 | Since I'm new to in door tanning, I really haven't got a clue. So fill me in, Why can't I use my regular tanning oil in the bed? In the summer I can lay by the pool for 40 minutes with my Haiwian tropic dark tanning oil spf 4 and I get a nice brown tan. Is the bed stronger then the sun itself? Why do I have to start off slow..8 minutes. I can lay out side for 30-40 minutes and not burn. Also can I use sun screen on my face in the bed? I keep getting red on my cheeks after being in the bed while using the tanning lotion. So many questions..so much confusion..sorry!! Thanks |

Rep Power: 21 | Outdoor tanning products are not designed to be used in tanning beds. They can ruin and crack acrylics. The bed is more concentrated than the sun but it has less UVB (the burning ray). Yes, you can use sunscreen ONLY on your face in the bed. If you are red or pink AT ALL, then you need to quit tanning until the pink goes away. |
