I receive my JA today and I am not sure If I want to carry three different lines of products vs. the 2 I have currently. I don't like too many selections for the clients to have because it makes it too difficult to choose.

DS look good, good value and all, but I am just sick of them personally. JA product is far superior to the DS line as the ingredients and results are amazing.

My three main lines are Matahari, FijiBlend, and Designer Skin.

I also carry some JA products (bringing in more everyday) and some Italian Thunderbolt, trying out the Radiance New York and Darkside lines.

One interesting thing I have noticed is that most of my customers don't buy the same bottle twice...People want choices....

I have to agree with Sherin. You guys would be surprised at the lotion collections some of the members of IamTan have. We're talking about people who use almost every brand out there. I personally have 17 different tanning lotions and 7 after-tan lotions, and I'm still buying more. We want choices and don't want to have to look everywhere to get them. I hate to say this, but tanners will get the lotions they want, whether it be through you, your competitors or "alternative" sources, if you know what I mean. And a lot of us look for lotion selection when choosing a Salon.

Here's a few threads from iamtan where people have posted their current (a little dated now) collections:

Yeah, ALL eBAY! DS IS TRASH. If you are basing your "research" on some IAMTAN crap then GOOD LUCK TO YA. People have NO CLUE over there and they buy ALL THEIR LOTIONS FROM eBAY thanks to GOOGLE DIVERSION.

Been (over)there done that. I TRIED to help people over there but most are brain dead and NOT spending their money at your salon.

Not true. Believe it or not, they are 100% against diversion, just like this site. Given, it's impossible to stop people from using the sites, but they are not allowed to discuss sites, publish addesses, etc.

And, as for the quality of the information over there...I disagree. And, that's all I'll say on that subject.

As a moderator on IamTan I come to TanTalk every so often just to read and search for interesting and useful information through a sea of what I hope is "friendly" banter amongst peers. I do not post here because I KNOW this board is not geared for me, a tanner, and I respect that. I wish all tanners would just come to IamTan instead of bothering you all. However, I just had to post in this thread.

The impression you have of IamTan is completely incorrect. We do our best to help and educate tanners on smart tanning and we have done an excellent job of doing so.

Engfant, you have not visited the site in over a year and you haven't even posted in almost 2. So, please don't assume to know how our site operates or what our members are like. We welcome owners and employees that are willing to share their knowledge and experience with us. Whatever impression you have is not an accurate portrayal of how our site is run now. I can honestly say that the moderators and admin are completely different and for the better.

If you are uninterested to help retail tanners that happen to find their way here at least direct them to IamTan . We're more than willing and able to do so.

Supre & Cal Tan are my main lines. I have had DS in before & it did well, but when they did Ray of light that 10 lbs crap just made me sick how could you sell that BS, you try to say you promote "smart Tan" or education and then sell a lotion that promises to make you look 10 lbs lighter, ughhh crap like that urks my nerves.
I am still looking for a solid third line to add and I was thinking of trying JA as well but heard he went bankrupt???
