DS lotion expiration date (mine has one) - tanTALK

I never noticed this until today, but my Halo lotion, which I bought at the salon I work at in July of 04 says EXP 05-06

There is no way this lotion is good until MAY of 2006 is there?

Am I reading this totally wrong?

Yea, Im pretty confused because even though my lotion is about 6 months old..well 6 months from where I plucked it from my salon, the consistancy is really...soupy, super thin.

I was just wondering if it is still good???

No, I always made sure that I have stored it at room temps since I bought it.

It's over 1/2 way thru, I might toss it out. I still get good color, it hasnt completly lost it's touch, it just looks different

I have found the Halo is all thinner than most DS lotions. I just figured that was it's normal consistancy! Did you think it was thicker originally?

I can't remember, and since I went back to school I havent worked at the salon, so I can't compare it.

But when I compare it to my bottle of Tao and Ray of Light it is MUCH thinner, next time im in the salon I will compare it to another newer bottle of Halo.

o.k. you have me looking at my tanning bottles on the shelf cause I do remember a exp date as well, my Halo along with Soul bottle has dates on the bottom of the bottles of when they expire, all of the other bottles do not, do you think maybe because they have the SPF in them?? These are the only ones out of all the collection that have dates, the new Amazing Face has SPF and again it has a expiration date as well! I cant say but I think that may have something to do with it, does anyone else have an idea??

who the heck knows...do you the DHA expiration date thing is a myth? does it really go "bad" after just 6 months?

I have seen that posted on this forum many-a-times
