I decided to post this because of many comments I have seen in this forum about people/salon owners not being able to sell Halo very well...and the main reason they give...because of it's SPF.....

I don't understand the salon owners who blame the Halo lotion for not selling well because of it's SPF 4 ingredient. As a salon owner you need to understand your lotions and what ingredients it has in it and what those ingredients do.

It's as simple as reading the bottle, on the back of Halo it tells you what the SPF is for, if you tell that to your customer they won't be afraid to buy it. Do you honestly let customers tell you "I don't want that spf in it, it will block my tan" and just show them to another lotion? what a terrible selling technique.

We sell LOADS of Halo because of the explination we give with the SPF and tell them how it is a great benefit to them and their developing tan.

Not saying Halo is the lotion for everyone, or it's the best lotion ever, but it is a good one, and it's a shame to see it not do well because people don't know how to sell it properly.

Great advice VS. We also tell our clients is an excellent lotion, because the SPF is prohibiting the UVB from penetrating, thus preventing the possibility of burning. Our clients hear that and they say, sure, I"ll take a one of those.

I love DS period (especially the new stuff) but I personally use Halo. I am a fair-haired, strawberry blonde chick, gotta TAN SMART!

I think it is an AMAZING lotion, even our most picky customers like it and can't find anything to complain about when using it

Sells well for us too!

Have a client that uses it regularly in our Matrix. Just came back from a trip to Hawaii, says she used it outside there, and has never been darker!

Enlighten me to the great benefits of tanning with spf? If you buy expensive lamps that are putting out 2% or less UVB, I can't see the benefit. If I'm running JUNK lamps that put out 5%+ UVB, then YES I can see the benefit. They are protecting themselves from cheap *** tanning lamps.

I hope no one thinks I am running cheap *** tanning lamps (especially if you have seen pictures of my salon and my web site) ..I certainly don't..but, because I am so fair, if I don't use HALO I can tell a difference in how my skin feels AFTER I get out of the beds..With Halo I get no itch, not even a little pink tint..with out it I am bound to have tanning repercussions. I also do not ever do the full exposure time in any of our beds...Johnna laughs at how I think I am a "Big Girl" tanner by doing my whopping 8 minutes in The Hot Pepper..I try to use each new product at least once but I find myself always going back to Halo..I love it for us "sensitive people" and it is great for outside. I slathered it all over while I was at the the pool in Vegas last June and wish I could have had the industrial size bottle so I could slather it on the people I saw walking around with HORRIBLE sunburns...TAN SMART PEOPLE!

The SPF in Halo is noted as specifically for the UVB rays.

Some clients want to tan - but they want to limit their UVB exposure.

Some clients want to tan - but are very fair, and SHOULD limit their UVB exposure.

We skin type them correctly - but some like the "extra protection" that a little SPF gives them.

Halo also has very rich moisturizers, "anti-aging/firming" ingredients, and is a dual bronzer. The combo of all those things, along with great beds, gives customers the tan they are looking for.
