Rep Power: 0 | Hi All, I have just tried Soul from Designer. I love the tingle. After tanning I stopped to talk withe the owner about Soul. He thought the use of SPF4 in it was bull s***. He said that you need some UVb to produce melonin. He said that I would not tan as well using any product with any uv block. As I always understood it, sun blocks need to be put on 15-30 minutes before going out in the sun. So it would seem that a spf4 lotion used at the time of tanning may not have much of an effect anyway. I like the Soul and would like to continue to use it. But I don't want to be wasting my time if it the spf4 might not be a good idea. Any coments would be apreciated, Thanks, Ring |

Rep Power: 0 | Yes you need UVB to tan but alot of people reacts to the amount emitted by regular or high b tanning bed. As a result these people always burn or just dont tan. This lotion was designer to allow hard to tan people the chance to tan instead of burning. _________________ [ This Message was edited by: naturegirl on 2004-11-16 16:19 ] |

I also have regular clients that use the lotion in the sun, they have reported to have the darkest tan ever naturally without burning. _________________ [ This Message was edited by: naturegirl on 2004-11-16 16:28 ] |

Rep Power: 24 | Ringwood.............Soul & Halo do have SPF 4 in them, the end result is that you can stay in the bed a minute or two longer, but more importantly UVB are burning rays and UVA are browning rays so you will be maximixing The UVA, but still receive enough UVB to tan, my clientes love the results they get from both these products!!!! |

Rep Power: 22 | Actually you should expose yourself to at least 5 to 10 minutes of sun before putting on your sunblock as to expose your skin to a little uvb. You should check out Dr Holick's book "UV Advantage", you should be able to get it at any bookstore. Great read to really educate you on the use of UV exposure, which all life form needs to survive. |
