Help me find a new lotion. I've been tanning about a month using Ginger Spice, but I'm almost out. I'm one of those people who doesn't burn, but never gets really dark either. I get very dark FOR ME, but not so someone else would notice.

I don't like self-tanners because they always look fake on my skin tone. I don't mind cosmetic bronzers though, the kind that wash off. I don't like "tropical" scents i.e. coconut -- prefer stuff like the ginger spice, vanillas, coffees, etc.

Tingle is fine, or non-tingle. I don't seem to have very sensitive skin.

Thanks for your help. I like the place I tan, but the girls that work there are all 18 and clueless.

I am not that familiar with Cal Tan products but if i recall isn't ginger spice a tingle? You should probably switch it if you use it on a regular basis..tingles stop working if you use it all the time switch to a non tingle..i am not sure what your salon sells .....

The place sells a pretty wide variety -- Cal Tan, DS, Supre, AG, Swedish Beauty. I was alternating the Ginger Spice with a Supre non-tingle product. I never feel much even from the beginning when I use tingle, granted I've not used anything that claims to be a really super strong tingle, but if I was sensitive to it you'd think I would feel SOMETHING.

I have been using Swedish Beauty Dangerously Dark for quite awhile now, and actually I had to stop using and slow down on tanning. I got to dark! SB Dangerously Dark has a dual bronzer in it and I notice when I use it a total difference.

sb is a good step one
ginger spice is a tingle but only a level 3 out of 15
so you don't really need to lay off a tingle because the tingle in ginger is minimal
ginger spice is a step 1 product you need to move up to a step 2
(cal tan)artic fever has a level 5 tingle with a coolant and a soapy smell
beach bum rum is a nice bronzer and will boost your color but smell it first
for intense tingle go with pyro but please do a spot test first
helix is a great product has no tingle or bronzer and has no coconut smell
these are some cal tan step 2 products that will help you

SB Dangerously Dark...is a great product..can't keep it in the salon..another great product SB Hot Amaretto...everything else i like smells like fruit.

I agree with coconut, the SB have some great non coconuted/tropical smells. It's mainly the AG that has those lingering smells. But the Dangerously dark is amazing, and so is the AG cheeky brown. those are my two favorites.
If you like the coffee smells AG has the expresso, which is coffee scented and new this year it smells like french vanilla...yumm

Your kidding me, if you say that SB's Dangerous Dark has no AFT smell. My boyfriend won't go near me after I use it. The same goes for SB's Browning Sryup. They both smell awful.

Cal Tan X Power is good. The higher the quality ingredients in the product the better chance you have of staying moisturized and getting darker. Maybe try Golden Glaze or Golden tingling glaze. My fav is Dangerously Dark too! If you do not like a DHA product don't use Dangerously Dark
