lotion demand vs. price - tanTALK

Do any of you regularly carry Ultimate Theory in your salons? I personally love this lotion and think a lot of my clients would love it too. The problem is how do you convince a client to spend $100 on a bottle of lotion? I think my die hards my go for it. My real question is, how well does this lotion sell in your salons?

I think the manufactureres are out of control with there pricing. You make a good point. Demand would be alot higher if the caost was resonable. lets face it Tanning is a luxury, but that doesnt mean people are frivalious. It doesnt help that people are selling the stuff online for salon cost.

If i every told a customer a bottle of lotion waz 100.00 they would laught in my face ..i would bust out laughting too just asking for that price

Its price to salons is $50 minus whatever discount your dist. gives you. I'm the type who's willing to pay extra to get better results. I'm naturally very pale, so it takes a good lotion and a lot of tanning to build up a nice color for me. I agree with NJ, tanning is a luxury and only a small percentage of tanners have the money to be frivilous with these days. Maybe if manufacturers would get real on prices more salons would carry their products and they wouldn't have to resort to cheapening the product by selling it online.
