Received another call today. You can only be so nice to these people. S I expained that I was not buying any lotions at this time. U I was waiting until after Nashville. CC He then went on to tell me what I needed to purchase today. A I informed him that I have NEVER carried their lotion and he went on about how I had recently placed an order. Imagine, me being the salon owner and not realizing that I had order his lotion. Gee, I must be stupid or at least they think I am. We need to create a NO CALL list for these annoying lotion telemarketers...If I wanted your lotion I would buy it. Sorry just needed to vent.

Just wanted to say as an Account Manager for a Distributor sometimes we are calling just to try to offer you a choice to the company you are dealing with already. How would you know there are better companies out there willing to go the extra mile to take care of you and the needs of your salon? I could not tell you how many times I have made a call to a potential customer and been treated like the scum of the earth when all I am doing is trying to offer salon owners a potentially better alternative to the company they are using. We are not tying to ruin salon owners days or anything. Maybe next time you have someone on the phone instead of assuming they are trying to bully you or take advantage of you, take a minute if you have it to spare and listen to what they have to offer you!!

Believe this, I was very nice to this person, but when they tell me that I have ordered lotion before and I haven't, what do you call that? I have had others that have been down right rude to be because I wouldn't order anything from them. I'm not talking distributors here, I have a couple great ones I will take all the time in the world with, I'm talking those manufacturers that I would have to buy direct from.

I finally broke down and purchased caller id...we have message line, just put on the message, distributors we are not doing any purchasing at this time.

I have caller id also, the problem I have is that if any of my students from the college call from the dorm, they show up as "out of area" so I have to answer all calls.

i agree with peppermint!!!
just take a minute to listen to the intro of the call, then base your decision on whether you are interested, if not, say so, hang up and get on with taking care of your daily business, if you are interested, listen!!!!! it may make your day!!!!
