I am wondering if you guys only carry cosmetic or DHA bronzers or if you sell them both...When you sell them to customers do you let them know that the cosmetic bronzer will wash off and that the DHA lasts for a few days? Currently I carry both types of bronzers and sometimes find it confusing for customers....

Hi there!...I have found that the wash off kind is a waste of time, unless there is also DHA in the product too....at least they get instant gratification from the wash off, & then that lasting color from th dha.

We try to stay away from the instant bronzers because they easily stain hands and clothes and we don't like to hear a tanner say they ruined their favorite bra because of a lotion they used

I had made the mistake of just assuming that because a lotion said 'bronzer' it contained DHA. A few weeks ago, I began to read labels and was surprised at what I found. Interestingly, the cosmetic bronzers don't sell as well as the DHA bronzers. I have a list behind the counter so we can advise clients of which will give more lasting color and which will wash off in the first shower. As far as hands and bras staining, we provide wipes in the rooms and tell them to wipe off their hands before & after they apply bronzer AND we tell them that it may rub off but will usually wash out of clothes. We sell lots of DHA bronzers.

I was considering weeding out the Cosmetic Bronzers and keeping the DHA because they sure do sell better, plus I do not like the fact that the Cosmetic washes away hours later and like amazingtan mentions...a waste of time!

If it is misleading to us then clients have to feel that way, too.
