Rep Power: 22 | hey tnewcom Welcome to Tantalk.. well the question you asked really has no answer, it all depends on the tanner and what he/she likes.... First off: Do you like Tingle? Do you like Bronzers? Do you like both? If so how strong of a tingle, etc.... there are many factors that go into a good tanning lotion.... and lotions range in prices... |

Rep Power: 0 | I would suggest Hempz Dark Tanning Maximizer Australian Gold's Accelerator or Velocity. All work great for building a base tan in my opinion and the Hempz is the one I am personally using right now; great coolling sensation and smell! Some might not agree with my choices, but that's the beauty o this board! welcome aboard and keep us updated! |

Rep Power: 22 | I recommend you start with A California Tan Step one product.. Ganja works well ($42) ... or if you want to jumpstart your tan try Hot Chocolate... You should always use a step 3 ( moisturizer product) Total Immersion works wonderful (Retails around $18)... And remember bar soaps are bad (clog pores, dry skin etc..) So if you can try Total Submersion for your showers... Find a professional salon, where they can skin type you and make some lotion suggestions... (Help you along the way!) _________________ [ This Message was edited by: TikiTan on 2003-03-31 17:44 ] |

Rep Power: 0 | BoDy Drench? My local WOW store ($1) has BodY Drench and spray distinguisher for $1. I remember Body Drench a few years ago as being "hot" Please no flames. I am a newbie who is cheap. I bought the product remembering the name from years ago. Anyone have an opinion? Kat |

Rep Power: 0 | Tnewcom, Save your money and don't go for the expensive lotions- they're not necessary. You can get a basic inexpensive lotion with a good moisturizing agent that will do the trick. The body is equipped to tan all by itself; it's been doing exactly that for millions of years....all those lotions with things like "tingle", "bronzers" and all those fancy ingredients (which read like a menu!) are just marketing gimmicks. Your only concern should be to stay hydrated throughout the tanning process, both externally (with the moisturizer ) and internally (drink lots of water). Do this and you will tan fine. PJ |
