Soakin Intimidator --SHOVE IT - tanTALK

I used Soakin Up the Rays Intimidator for the 1st time today in the 11 minute "wonderbed", 12 face tanners and all.

It went on well and seemed very moisturizing. but 11 minutes later.... the after-tan smell was like burned rubber. EW. And the lotion is now flaking off of my arms and legs in nasty tan little flakes. I'm going to shower now and use some strong moisturizer because this is grossing me out.

I am surprised you had that experience. We haven't sold a lot of it but the people who use it love it and have not mentioned those things. Guess I will have to try some myself. I'll let you know what I think.

Double SHOVE IT.

The after-tan smell didn't bother me so much today. BUT it is still flaking and clumping off after tanning in dark brown chunks. Disgusting. It also stained my bra and my hands.

I am sorry, you did not like my Imtimidator (R) product. Not eveyone is going to like everything I have but I do believe that their is a segment of very advanced tanners that will like this more oily of a formula with a very dark bronzer.

I would love it if it didn't rub off in clumps. I specifically requested a strong bronzer and very moisturizing formula. I was pleased with that. The fact that it requires a shower immediately after use rather defeats the purpose of the bronzer, however.

njchica, I am surprised that you had "clumps" with the Intimdator...I absolutely love it. I have sold a lot of it & not had one complaint. In fact, everybody even comments on how happy they are with it. It is super moisturizing & I am normally NOT a bronzer fan because of the after-odor, but I had none with this one. It is lightly scented & on the days I tan with this, I didn't even need to use moisturizer ....I wonder if maybe you didn't get a bad bottle or something?

Sorry, you had such a bad experience.

I'm also wondering if it went "bad" in transit. Remember, this product has been double shipped. First Greg shipped it to me from Florida... where I stocked it for about a week before shipping it off to you on the Jersey coast. I'm wondering if such advanced products like this with more natural ingredients just couldn't take the repeat exposure to heat. I haven't had that experience either. I got my bottle from Greg in Vegas and it was never exposed to any heat. Remember, we've had quite a heat wave this summer and double shipping a product through such heat could indeed affect it's performance. Greg??

I was surprised and disappointed to find that Intimidator became flaky and "rubbed off" after use. I really do enjoy thick moisturizing lotions and heavy DHA bronzers which is why Bronze Star recommended this one to me.

I tend to leave bronzers on for awhile after tanning with them so as to allow the DHA to do its work. After using Intimidator, I had to shower immediately due to the flaking which kind of defeats the moisturizing/bronzing purpose.

Just a thought here... Is it possible to put on too much lotion? If so, could this cause a problem such as the flaking njchica experienced?
