Rep Power: 0 | Today I had a very good customer of mine ask me why, when she uses soluraim S by John Abate' when she is tanning her heart races? She also has had this experience with other tingle products such as titanium. Has anyone ever had this problem? She also tends to taste the lotion in her throat! YUK!!! And no she does not eat it, so has anyone had any comments like this? I thought that maybe she has high blood pressure and she said no. Then, I suggested that she try a different lotion without tingle, but she loves the look that she gets from them!! Any one have any ideas?Roxanne |

Rep Power: 24 | I have had a few people now tell me that the feel dizzy or light headed after they have used a tingle. Sounds like maybe an allergy?Whatever you do don't try to give her medicaladvice. Refer her to her doctor. Maybe she should cut back her tanning time???? The combination of tingle and bed heat may be too much for her. Even if that's not what she wants to hear. Have her try cutting back once to see what happens. |

As the ingredient that makes "tingle products" tingle is an irritant and/or stimulant it would tend to have such an effect. Your capilaries open to allow more blood to reach the outer layers of skin to ward off (fight) the invasion, your heart will increase it's output, basically your body's defenses wake up and prepare for a battle.Might also be a good idea to inform your customers that some of this stuff would tend to be hazardous to children and pets if injested. It smells good, so it must taste good, YUCK![This message has been edited by Ed (edited 02-03-2001).] |

Rep Power: 24 | Well Ed, tingles are not my favorite choice of lotion types either. But you must inform your children not to ingest any lotions (probably best to just keep any Dangerous substances out of reach of your children). Even Cappuccino or Amaretto(which both smell awsome!!!)could be dangerous if ingested.Neither of these products are tingles. I'm quit sure however that we shouldn't eat them either. |

Rep Power: 0 | I read something the other day about tingle and diabetes. The tingle does get your blood flowing which would affect your heartbeat. I know I have low blood sugar and it has affected me before. If I exercise too much my bloodsugar drops. I am not sure how this all ties in together exactly but it does kind of make sense. I found the info interesting.------------------Carin WalkerSandollar Tanning Resorts |

Rep Power: 0 | FIRST OFF, IS SHE AN ADVANCED TANNER? I USE JOHN ABATE PLATINUM AND TITANIUM. I FIND THEY WORK GREAT, HOWEVER MAYBE YOU SHOULD INSIST ON A DIFFERENT LOTION BRAND SOMETHING ALONG THE LINES OF MELAPLUS BY JOHN ABATE. IT IS GREAT BECAUSE IT GIVES A BASE TAN AND IT HELPS EXTEND YOU TAN LONGER. RECOMMEND THAT SHE VISITS A DOCTOR, REGARDLESS IF SHE WANTS TO OR NOT. I DON'T EVER LET MY CLIENTS USE A LOTION THAT I DON'T APPROVE OF FIRST. I MEAN C'MON THIS IS HER HEALTH FOR GOSH SAKES. IF A LOTION DID THAT TO ME I WOULD NOT BE USING IT ANYMORE, I WOULDN'T CARE HOW TAN I WAS FROM THE PRODUCT. GOOD LUCK |
