Rep Power: 24 | i agree that I don't like that type of marketing ploy... but here is my question to you: What if they are correct? Is it not better to be informed? What about when someone comes to me and says "I've been tanning at XYZ and just can't get results." and you KNOW for a FACT that they aren't changing their bulbs. How do you avoid saying something? I could easily see myself saying "I can't speak for them, but we have new bulbs, give us a try and if you don't see results your next tan is free." Laurie Quote:Originally posted by Tan-U-Too:I have had a large amount of lotion solicitors pointing out some products now contain petroleum. This products are manufactured by Cal Tan. Although I wouldn't alow a product like this in my beds, I'm really turned off by a company that tries to base there sales by pointing out flaws of others. What Cal Tan puts in there products has nothing to do with what makes Company X's product work. How do others feel about this type of marketing? |

Rep Power: 28 | Yes, I am sick and tired of the phone solicitors. They call 3-5 times a week. One company that calls must have 3-4 diff. people to call me. I have asked them to take me off the list but they still call. How do I stop this calling? I have an idea, I will order whatever they are selling, COD, of course and refuse it every time they ship it.....As for Cal-Tan, some of their stuff is good, but I plan to drop their line soon. And does anyone know why Emerald Bay (Cal-Tan) is discontinuing "Voodoo" ? |

Rep Power: 24 | My understanding is that the name Voodoo is copyrighted by American Royal for their Ultimate line. Cal Tan has to stop selling it because of that. I don't carry either so I don't know for sure but I'm sure they will use the same formula for another one of their 98 different lotions |
